I promise..

..to be a better blogger! The past year I have not done so well on posting to my blog, but I will try to do better. Sometimes by the end of the hectic day, I just want to spend quality time with my sweet family and get a break from technology, besides my camera of course. I have so many amazing pictures of Anna that will someday make up a mega scrapbook and be framed around the house. In the meantime, here are some pictures of my smiley, happy, sweet little diva! Not to be all corny, but she puts a huge smile on my face every single day. The amount of love Nick and I share for that little girl is unreal.

Anna Elizabeth Allen

Considering the last blog post I did was around the due date for the arrival of our daughter who is now 7 months, I figured it was time for another one. So much has happened in the past 7 months. Anna Elizabeth Allen was born at 8:11 p.m. on November 28th, 2011. Words cannot express how amazing it has been having her in our lives. She brings us so much joy! Check out this gorgeous little girl!

40 Weeks Pregnant and Ready for our Sweet Baby Girl!

Tomorrow marks the day of my expected due date!! I've been so lucky to have a wonderful pregnancy, and so far all signs point to a healthy baby girl.  We are incredibly excited to meet her and hold her in our arms! Maybe today's the day? We hope so!!

Spring is Here!!

It's finally spring in charlotte.. last sunday was 82, so we're looking forward to full blown spring being here.  A few spring pictures from our casa!

On a separate note, we had a little dinner party with the Polston's (Lauren & Tige) and the Watkin's family (James & Nikki).  James and Nikki have a 2 1/2 year old daugher, Ohanna who is Ryder's friend.  Check out the story in pictures below.. aren't they a little young for this?

Last but not lease, the kale chips came out awesome.. I love that they are crispy but still healthy.

Tonight, we are celebrating Tige's (my brother-in-law) birthday! We have arranged a babysitter for Ryder, so it will be an adult-only celebration.. Very excited! Pictures to follow :)

Happy Birthday to the GREATEST Dad in the World!

I am so lucky to have literally the best father in the entire world. Today is his birthday and I wish I could be in Connecticut to celebrate his special day. But, since I can't, phone calls, emails, cards and presents will have to do. Happy Birthday, Dad! I love you!!

Memorial Day in Rock Hall

Every year, Nick and I travel to Rock Hall, Maryland to celebrate the holiday with the Allen Family (and Becker’s).  The weekend is always filled with lots of love, laughs, fun activities (including but not limited to boating, kayaking, running, biking) and of course delicious food and cocktails! We went on a Fishing trip on Sunday with Rock Hall Fishing Charters, owned by good friends (and Captains).  It was a blast!
